Introduction to Apple's "Scary Fast" Event
According to reports from Bloomberg, Apple is gearing up to announce new Macs alongside an updated Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard featuring USB-C connectivity.
On October 30, the company is expected to present these innovative products during its “Scary Fast” event. This aligns with Apple's broader shift towards USB-C connectors, which will replace the aging Lightning ports in their peripherals.
Anticipated New MacBook Pro Models
The spotlight will likely be on the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, identified as J514 and J516, which are highly anticipated for a Monday launch.
Recent evaluations indicate two distinct versions of the M3 Pro chip: one with 18 graphics cores and 12 processing cores—6 optimized for performance and 6 for efficiency.
The second variant boasts an impressive 30 graphics cores and 14 processing cores, which includes 4 efficiency cores and 10 performance cores.
In addition, there are ongoing assessments for various M3 Max processors, including a high-end model featuring 16 main cores—12 for performance and 4 for efficiency—along with 40 graphics cores.
Possible RAM Upgrades and iMac Updates
Further rumors suggest that Apple may introduce configurations with 24GB and 48GB of RAM. While the design of the iMac is expected to remain consistent, a redesign of the pedestal is a possibility.
The desktop models, codenamed J433 and J434, could utilize an M3 chip with eight processing cores (four performance and four efficiency) and ten graphics cores.
Additionally, Bloomberg indicates that a 13-inch MacBook Pro (codenamed J504) featuring an M3 chip is in development; however, it is unlikely to debut on the same day. There are also no new MacBook Air models anticipated for the event.
In true Apple fashion, the company always seems to have exciting surprises in store. Stay tuned for more updates!
