Chapter 1: An Encounter in the Shadows
In a mysterious and dimly lit realm, a conversation unfolds between a powerful Empress and a Demon.
Demon: Your Majesty, please take a seat. We have much to discuss.
A shimmering throne materializes in the darkness. The luminous figure steps into the light and settles into the seat.
Demon: You are late, as usual.
Empress: What else is new?
Demon: (Chuckling) Do you realize why you are here?
Empress: Aren't you going to enlighten me?
Demon: Oh, my apologies! Welcome to my domain. I am the Sovereign of the Pass.
I know your presence, but I’m puzzled as to your purpose here.
(Becoming agitated) YOU NEED TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF, FOR YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS IN MY KINGDOM!
Empress: What sets your realm apart from the others I have subdued?
Demon: SOULS DO NOT PASS THROUGH MY DOMAIN! I AM UNCONQUERED!
Empress: Until now, correct? (She playfully teases, revealing herself)
Demon: Indeed. (Smirks, gradually regaining composure) But… how did you manage this?
REVEAL YOUR SELF-SATISFACTION, AND YOUR NOBILITY WILL GRANT YOU ACCESS TO THE PASS.
Empress: Do I truly possess nobility?
Demon: By your own history, the answer is no.
You are known as a seductress, a thief, a manipulator, a killer.
Yet, here you stand. You must have quite the tale to share.
Empress: Why don’t I recount my pleasures while you affirm my sins?
Demon: That seems reasonable. Let’s begin from the start.
The book of her life, adorned with her crown and an emblematic symbol, materializes before the Empress.
She gazes at it but refrains from touching it, as waves of emotions wash over her, yet her past remains elusive.
Chapter 2: The Realm of Guilt
Is your identity merely a collection of past mistakes?
Can certain errors forever shape who you are?
Is it possible to feel remorse for acts that seem good?
Can you derive satisfaction from wrongdoing?
The Realm of Guilt is the second installment in the 7 Book of Shades series.

In this narrative, the Empress embarks on a journey through a morally corrupt society, challenging whether her actions stem from inherent evil or if they were necessary evils.
This exploration delves into collective societal guilt, healing from poor choices, and the pursuit of pleasure amidst turmoil.
It transcends conventional tales of ascension or struggles for power, providing a profound examination of the emotional trials one may face in society.
