The journey of integrating audio into Alfred's Journey to Be Liked has not been straightforward. However, the following steps require careful consideration and expert guidance.

Medium often serves as my personal Q&A platform, where I pose inquiries and receive insightful responses filled with expertise and personal touches. This brings me to my question:
“What is the most effective method to introduce audio recordings that complement a book and give readers a preview of its style and themes?”
Background
I have recently launched Alfred's Journey to Be Liked into the expansive realm of printed literature, both in digital and paperback formats. We face a significant reading challenge that predates the pandemic and has only intensified since. Our attention spans resemble those of goldfish, a topic I have previously addressed.
So, how can I make potential readers aware of the compelling voices within the pages that could help ground them? They need to 1) discover it exists and 2) be encouraged to give it a try.
Solution
Indeed, the world is all about listening. Why not create some audio tracks? The challenge lies in my lack of vocal talent—my voice is not particularly remarkable, yet I utilize it frequently. Additionally, I have no experience in audio recording.
Fast forward, I stumbled upon an amazing voice coach who specializes in voiceovers and could help me record my narration. Rather than reading directly from the book, I would share snippets regarding Alfred and my coach.
After producing eleven tracks, I now have some audio material. Though I am aware I don't possess the charm of a Morgan Freeman, here are two sample segments:
Why am I engaging in this unusual endeavor of recording:
Why humor (ha-ha) holds significance:
Dear Medium Readers,
I find myself in uncharted territory. If you have insights or experiences to share regarding how and where to distribute audio content, I would greatly appreciate your input. My objective is not to profit from these eleven recordings but to spark interest in the characters and messages conveyed.
Thank you,
Jill
