The Bright Future of Genealogy: Embracing Change for Growth
Written on
Chapter 1: An Evolving Journey
The field of genealogy is expanding, and I am committed to fostering this growth through some essential adjustments.
One of the primary modifications involves ensuring that I receive email notifications from Medium. Up until now, I have not been informed about updates related to the writers I follow or the publications I subscribe to. Unfortunately, this oversight meant that I was unaware of individuals who were following this page or expressing interest in contributing. I sincerely apologize to those writers and hope you will still consider sharing your family narratives and genealogical explorations.
Nevertheless, this issue isn't entirely due to technical glitches; I should have taken the initiative to check the publication daily. I have reached out to Medium through their help page, but I am yet to receive a reply. Adrienne Gibbs or Buster Benson, I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.
Section 1.1: Importance of Grammar
To enhance the quality of my writing, I utilize Grammarly for correcting technical mistakes. My subscription to Grammarly has significantly improved my storytelling capabilities.
I’m not advocating for everyone to invest in a paid program, as Grammarly does provide a free basic version available online. You can download it through their website. If you’re using Grammarly or a similar tool, I encourage you to apply it before submitting your stories. I will also employ it to edit your submissions. I recognize the distinctions between British and American English, so I will not modify terms such as "chips" vs "fries" or "flat" vs "apartment."
Should I have any questions, I will leave a note on your submission.
